Back in September of this year saw India's ioish drop their brand new single, "What You Need It For", and since then it's gone onto be their biggest hit yet. Now when you think of Math-rock you don't think of the subcontinent, you tend to associate it with British or American acts, with even the likes of Foals starting out in this genre.
... if you love your big and bold mathy tracks then this new band from India might just blow you away.
What we have here is a classic Math-rock track for the modern times, it see's ioish take some amazing elements and molding them together. "What You Need It For" starts off with plinks and
plonks of electronic noises, you wouldn't expect what's to come but that's where they shine bright.
As the guitars and drums come scattering in the whole vibe o the track is clear to see, with the addition of some smooth and sexy horns we have now a track that is full of warmth. It's ever evolving as more deeper guitar lines follow suit, and even though the track is instrumental you don't even notice it as the instruments are a symphony in your ears.
"What You Need It For" is a massive soundtrack of a single and is incredibly cinematic, if you love your big and bold mathy tracks then this new band from India might just blow you away.
