Scream Mountain's new track "Suburbanite" is their fourth outing of 2022 and may just be the best of the bunch they've dropped in the past 12 months. The band has over 75k streams on Spotify alone and it sounds like this smooth new single is going to get just as much as that on it's own.
It's the type of track that'll have you addicted to their sound by the end of the first spin
The band hails from Perth in Australia and from the very start the sound of the song is tender and whimsical. You're greeted with whistling over fuzz-laden guitar tones, vocally it's strong reminding me of the slower Biffy Clyro tracks mixed with Bombay Bicycle Club.
Speaking about the track they say - " ... "Suburbanite" is a cluttered mind, with a phobia of showing vulnerability to others." It's moody and full delightful guitar licks, I feel like the band will rise off the back of this single. It's the type of track that'll have you addicted to their sound by the end of the first spin, they honestly sound like they're aiming for the big arenas and festival stages - and why not as they've got the sound for it.
