We don't know if there is a 1st PROJEKT at all but what we do know is that 5th PROJEKT has dropped their slick new cut earlier this week. Titled "The Wrong Way" it acts as the duo's first track since 2022's "Vagabond" came out back in mid-November.
... it's a great blend of psych-rock and shoegaze with plenty of space for dark elements to peek their head in!
"The Wrong Way" features a lovely and slick intro which builds and builds, kicking off with organic sounds (even walking boots) and what seems like wind chimes. The drumming is the only thing that continues when the vocals come in, and my gosh they're moody, with them complimenting the soothing bass-tones.
What the Canadian-based duo has done here is create a track that sounds like it's got a whole band behind it, as the sounds they've created are so expansive and mega- it's a great blend of psych-rock and shoegaze with plenty of space for dark elements to peek their head in!
"The Wrong Way" acts as the second single from 5th PROJEKT’s upcoming EP, "The Wolf" which arrives in advance of the album’s release on March 7th, 2023 via their own independent label, Organik Rekords.
