Hailing from Cologne in Germany is rising singer-songwriter Margo with her new single, "Astronaut ", which leads on from her debut single released at the tail-end of Summer in 2022. The new single is a dreamy affair with some slick synths adorning it, as heard from the intro.
Now two tracks down, Margo has two tracks that she can be very proud of. It is more of a waiting game to see what major label will sign her up as it's clear she's got the talent!
The drumbeat is very broken and reminds me of something Billie Eilish might have on her tracks, and vocally to she is hitting the high notes much like the aforementioned singer.
There's smooth instrumentation in abundance here with crisp guitar tones lifted from several genres such as dream-pop, psychedelic, and even bass that sounds like it's been taken out of a surf track. You'll soon be finding yourself getting hooked into this as there is so much to delve into, even on the second listen we found new elements to get stuck into.
