Manchester-based trio Egotist a few weeks back dropped their latest track, "When I Lie". The new single comes after a string of singles that now sees them touching close to the 100k play mark on Spotify - not bad considering their first single only came out mid-way through 2022.
"When I Lie" sounds like the band is aiming for the big time, with huge arena filling guitars mixed in with vocals that can command the biggest of festival crowds.
Starting off rather airy and ethereal the track swiftly moves on with the main vocals taking control of proceedings. It's when the chorus gets here the track picks up body, and turns into the type of song that can be used in Hollywood montages, so cinematic.
