Hailing from the beautiful and very underrated Romanian city of Timisoara is Thy Veils with her incredibly cinematic new single, "Upstream". The single is their first outing of 2023 and follows swiftly on from their November release, "Influx".
This is a track that Thy Veils should be proud of for ever and a day!
"Upstream" reminds me a lot of the chilled-out Groove Armada tracks, primarily that's down to the trumpet that is warming up the track in the background. The mix of processed drumbeats and organic percussion is simply stunning, and with interwoven string sounds laced in-between your ears are treated to a feast.
Vocally this is by far their best yet, with angelic tones that reach up and touch god himself. This is a track that Thy Veils should be proud of for ever and a day!
