Hollows share anthemic new tune, "Chequered"

Manchester band, Hollows, released their first single just a few weeks ago and it sees the band take off from where they left off in 2022.

"Chequered" is more of the same charging anthemic indie-rock but this time around it sound they've channeled their inner David Bowie and Oasis. Points in question being the soaring guitar in the intro to the song sounding like the brother of the main guitar line of Bowie's track "Heroes".

A Manchester band that sounds like they're ready to take on the large venues and music festivals!

The frantic drums also reminds us a lot of early Oasis when they had all the hype in the world surrounding them, but what Hollows has done here is take it to the next stage with more festival-orientated vocal tones and lyrics that can get everyone chanting them back in no time.

With love from BBC Radio 6 Music, Radio X and BBC Introducing they're certainly making waves, so why not dip your toe into their brand of indie-rock - you'll thank me for it.
