Birmingham's Dom Malin has today released his strong new single, "Surface", with it being his first outing in two months following on from the stunning single, "River".Dom has not been holding back as of late with the past year seeing the singer-songwriter supporting the likes of Paris Paloma and Dermot Kennedy.
Dom is going from strength to strength with every release, and this could be his biggest outing to date!
Speaking about the song Dom says - " ... "Surface" was born from the deep-seated emotions of feeling like an outsider, perpetually on the fringes, trying to belong but feeling left out. This song explores the internal struggle of wanting to be a part of something, yearning to be heard, yet often feeling like a ghost—a mere whisper in the roaring crowd."
The new single is his first real foray into the indie-rock genre, with some big vocal harmonies, strong guitars, and plenty of danceable moments too. We hear moments that sound like peak Coldplay and Keane with powerful vocals gliding seamlessly over the well-polished track.
One thing I highly admire here is the quality of the production, absolutely sensational. With a great back catalogue of singles, Dom is going from strength to strength with every release, and this could be his biggest outing to date!
