The Northampton-based, Phantom Isle, has today unveiled their dreamy new single, "Aerial Photography". The new cut is their first since 2023's "Still Time" and is a wholesome return for a band that's been in the game since 2018.
A dreamy blend of pulsating electronic and stunning vocals.
The new single sounds to me like it's their biggest one yet with a pulsating electronic sound effectively commanding proceedings, only interrupted by the dreamy vocal hooks. It honestly is quite the achievement as the band is a trio, but when you listen to them it feels like you're listening to a symphony almost.
If you're new to the sound the new song sounds like a blend of the slower Everything Everything songs mixed with the charisma of Radiohead and Django Django.
Phantom Isle will and forever be a Northampton band, but this song sounds like they're gearing up to be a band that the whole country will fall in love. Watch this space.
