Since falling in love with their "Fade Away" single, Hotel Mira have been getting ready for their first EP release since their 2018 self-titled release. The charging song - "The View From The Barstool" - hits you like a heatwave when you walk out of your house on a warm day, the glorious sun shines into your face and you know you're going to be enjoying it.
This is a sun-kissed indie-banger!
Once more we've got a smattering of jangly guitars that are very angular, think of the likes of Franz Ferdinand and the early Bloc Party sound, it's urgent and commanding thanks to the vocal direction they've taken.
The breakdowns are wonderful on this, no doubt designed to give their fans respite in the live shows (as I can see this being a mad three minutes). With some huge reaction here in the UK when they came over to Brighton for the Great Escape and their London shows it's going to be time before this will be their 'second home', and the country will embrace them as their own.
Their new EP, "I Am Not Much Help" is out now!
