Back with his second single of the year is Merseyside /-based Paul Ariss, the track in question is "The People That We Were" and it features the amazing Chloe Pownall on vocals. Having had his debut solo music online since 2020 he's been steadily growing his fanbase, and we now feel like this new track - produced by John Kettle - will help inject some more listeners into his fanbase.
"The People That We Were" is certainly a strong outing from Paul Ariss, and if you like your big guitar tones then this song is certainly for you!
The new cut hits you with a jangly and almost Brit-rock guitar tone right from the get-go, and of course Chloe's stunning vocals follow shortly after. The guitars on this feel almost like they've been turned up to eleven, with the bass complimenting them so damn well that it feels almost like you're in the studio with Paul!
"The People That We Were" also has this slight 'Country-Rock' feel to it, with the vocal tones that Chloe has given me some warm undertones that you'd half expect a band from Nashville to have. "The People That We Were" is certainly a strong outing from Paul Ariss, and if you like your big guitar tones then this song is certainly for you!
