Leon Blanchard reveals the emotive new song, "Astronaut"

Leon Blanchard's new track, "Astronaut", is his third solo outing since he started releasing his own music last year, and this offering really hit me right from the get-go. Speaking about the song Leon says - "It’s a song about wanting to escape, floating into space and looking back down on the world you’re living in. It took a while to figure out that song, so I’m pleased it’s finally out there"
...  moody vocals, cinematic melodies, and a space-bound sense of emotional escape.

If you like the darker and more upbeat Radiohead songs, early Coldplay B-sides and Melodic indie-rock, then this is going to be a contender for your 'song of the year'. It's filled with Leon's moody and captivating vocals, all the while balanced off with swooning licks of guitars laced with atmospheric piano tones that help to generate plenty of moments for your ears to latch up on.

The track is backed up on the release by it's demo (from 2022), which is a great way to add more listening content for your fans as a new artist, and also give you an insight into how the track evolved. We're loving what we hear, and personally I can't wait to hear more from the Grimsby/Cleethorpes artist.
