Hailing from London it's Sherwøød , and the singer has returned with his strong new outing, "Dear B". Sherwøød is known for his raw, intimate blend of lo-fi, R&B, and indie. His previous singles are all rather emotive, and even though some of the beats aren't our usual flavour, we still fell head over heels for the sound he has on offer.
Sherwøød's "Dear B" is a raw, cinematic blend of lo-fi, indie, and soulful R&B. He's certainly one act to keep an eye on in the ever-strong scene in London. Every element feels like it's meant to be there, plenty of emotion, smooth sounds, and intimate vocals.
The stripped-back production is a big plus for the track, as it helps to heighten your senses when listening to his tender vocal hooks. "Dear B" is cinematic thanks to the production values, the crisp burst of indie guitars and the light, playful piano/key sounds. The midway is where it really comes to light, with those aforementioned guitar tones convincing me to give the track another play - and even on my 'first play' notes, I loved this, and especially the second half.
If you're looking for an act in London who's doing bits on the underground R&B scene, then it's surely going to be Sherwøød. Be sure to give the final 30 seconds of the track a turn up, as it gets rather gospel-come-soul in places, a lush treat for your ears.
