Hailing from South Shields is the emerging band Brother., and the outfit has recently unveiled their haunting new single, "Eleanor". The new tune is an AA-side release with the track "Dreams", but we're focusing on the first of the two today.
... a haunting, arena-sized anthem packed with Glasvegas grit and Tyneside soul — a dreamy, aching swirl of sound that marks them as serious ones to watch.
One thing that'll hit you in an instant is how grand the track feels, it's flipping huge. That opening guitar riff won me over, and when everything came together, I had to double-take to see if it wasn't an established band doing a rebrand.
Speaking of the song, the band says - "It captures the quiet ache of holding onto a feeling you can’t quite place, like a dream fading in the morning light." The sound they've landed is on is huge, think Glasvegas and MONA but with that Tyneside charm underpinning it all.
