After a hiatus, Tralalas returned earlier this year, and now the Danish act is back with yet another stunner. This new offering, "Burns", is a haunting alt-rock pop single that cuts deep into emotions with some moody vocals wrapped in a shimmering guitar tone that sounds like it's from those Western movies in the 1940s/50s.
.. moody alt-rock gem blending Lou Reed grit with Nick Cave shadowiness.
Danish artist Morten Alsinger is the driving force behind the outfit, and the three-and-a-half-minute track is one you can easily sink into on the first play. It reminded me a lot of Lou Reed to Nick Cave and everything in between.
Big shout out to the blend of moody male vocals and the tender (and angelic) female vocals that acted as a yin and yang throughout the track, offering up plenty of depth. Be sure to follow them on their journey; more moody, dark-rock tunes await in the not-too-distant future!
