Hailing from Chippenham is Bottlemoth, and the five-piece channel 90s and early 2000s guitar energy, transforming it into a rich soundscape that feels both cinematic and intimate.
... a soaring indie anthem that swings from intimate ballad to stadium-ready belter in minutes, powered by swirling guitars and chant-along hooks.
The latest offering from the quintet is called "Suki", and it's a huge track that goes from stadium-belter to a laid-back ballad and right back to the stadium-filler within the space of a minute. It really reminds me a lot of the best Coldplay and Biffy Clyro songs, tender in the right places but with a chorus that can pack a punch with lyrics that yearn to be chanted back.
There are plenty of stunning vocal hooks in this, all the while with a swirling guitar dominating proceedings; it just feels like a track that needs to be a closing song for a packed-out venue. The driving indie-pop sound is stunning, and we can't wait to hear more from the grounded and honest Chippenham band.
