Shaky today has revealed the chunky new rock tune, "In a Heartbeat", and it's one of those nostalgic hits that'll have you hooked from the intro riff.

The song captures the rush of melodic garage rock with the warmth of the 1990s, but with a punch of modern indie rock grit. Vocally it's in teh same realm as The Strokes, moody and commanding, but with a sense of emotion behind it.
Add into the song a decent amount of electronics, mainly synths and keys, and what you have here is a gritty nostalgia-laden track with a bit of sparkle.
What makes "In a Heartbeat" truly more impressive is that it's a one-man operation. All written, performed, produced, mixed, and mastered entirely by Shaky himself, which is astonishing, as this sounds so fluid and polished, almost live, it was recorded with a live band in a studio in Nashville!
