The SKBs drop their rock anthem, "Hourglass"

Coming out of my home-county, Essex, is The SKBs with their nostalgia-flavoured new tune, "Hourglass", and one thing that you'll find out rather quickly is that this is now anthemic too.

... a nostalgia-tinged, hook-heavy anthem bursting with huge riffs, soaring vocals, and a festival-ready chorus.

A big guitar riffs it's way into your head before some strong vocals from Sara come gliding in. The percussion follows shortly before the track erupts into a massive chorus that feels like it was written to get a whole festival's worth of people jumping up and down in unison.

The feeling on the track is rather nostalgic, with a subtle 90s sound mixed in with AOR, but for me, genres don't mean much when the track slaps as hard as this. The chorus is by far one of the best rock choruses I've heard this year, and the whole track is as sharp as a knife!

Hook-driven, anthemic and filled with epic vocals, this is one for the summer, no doubt about it.
