Danny Suede shares the sun-kissed new tune, "shadows on the pavement"

Bursting out from Spokane, United States, is Danny Suede, who has recently released his new track titled "shadows on the pavement". The new offering from the American singer-songwriter has already shot to the top of his most popular songs on Spotify, and I can easily tell why from the very first minute. ... a shimmering, uplifting slice of bedroom pop that feels made for sunny days. The opening sequence of the song is a delicate balance of acoustic guitar mixed with his serene vocals and a dash of electronic pulses just to get you all warmed up. For me, the fusion of bedroom pop and alternative pop sounds reminded me of an early Ed Sheeran as he was about to take over the British music scene. With that in mind, it sounds like Danny is also going in that direction. It is such an uplifting track and has brilliant shimmering moments that make this an unmistakably top pick for your Sunkissed playlists. He is an artist who is on the rise, so be sure to listen to him as soon as you...

Martin Kuiper drops his strong new album, "Prison Of Modesty"

Hailing from Ruurlo, Netherlands, singer-songwriter Martin Kuiper delivers a captivating blend of '90s alt-rock and grunge on his album "Prison Of Modesty".We previously had Martin on our website before, but today is an exciting day as this sees his new album finally land. The album is comprised of 10 tracks, of which seven were previously released. We are going to focus on some of the tracks that are new here—or at least new to us. I can't help but praise the opening track, "Still I Promise", as this is a fantastic gateway song to his sound, with plenty of Beach Boys-styled backing vocals laced upon a rather indie-rock-driven track, almost beckoning you into the 10-track album. One of the new tracks is called "In Security", and it's quite the charming cut with some moody guitar tones that reminisce of those 1980s bands, such as Dire Straits. With that, his vocals really do come to light here as the song is rather stripped back in terms of its ...

2nd Magpie Project reveals the dreamy new cut, "Divine Intervention"

Hailing from Lewisham in South London, England, 2nd Magpie Project has today delivered an expansive and dreamy new single titled "Divine Intervention." If you like your shoegazy sounds mixed with strong and powerful vocals, then this is something that you'll love from the first play. ... a cinematic and atmospheric shoegaze gem blending moody Nick Cave-esque guitars with expressive, haze-filled vocals. I personally loved the strong Nick Cave-esque guitars in the background, almost filling the track with haze and character. It's an incredibly moody offering, with the chorus almost cementing their place in your darker, moodier playlists. To me, it sounds like the perfect kind of song to listen to when you're stuck at home on a dreary rainy day in November, but with expressive lyrics that can help you paint a picture in your head to take your mind away from things. Overall, I'd say this is cinematic and atmospheric, with plenty of shoegazing alt-rock moments ...

EP Review... Kilto Take - Kilto Take EP

Another special EP review and this time it is from a band who are from Bedfordshire. They are a Indie Rock band who love to play music that gets the rhythm inside of you and blasts it with lashings of rock! I do hope they get noticed because the world deserves bands like these guys. Hanging around and lurking in the deep belly of Bedfordshire they deserve to be noticed and would do them a whole load of good, you will soon realise in this review why they are a brilliant band! Retrogress: The opening track and it entices you into their sound straight away with a brilliant riff, a tight bass and superb drumming. The vocals kick in and it only just gets better! A slow start perhaps but the momentum builds and when the chorus comes you know it is going to be a cracking one. It hits, yup, I was right, the singer cries out "Hold me, you can't deny this stuff is real", but oh it is. It's real for sure, honestly this song is just *AWESOME* Out of 10: 10/10 Ava: Along the same ...

JF Roy reveals the inspiring new single, "The Morning Light"

Coming out of Fort McMurray in Canada is the Christian rock artist JF Roy. The new single is his third of the year, and this singer-songwriter is the kind of artist that gets tens of thousands of plays on his music. It sounds like this track could be his biggest hit to date. ... an inspiring and uplifting alt-rock anthem blending 90s-tinged guitars, crunching basslines, and bright, hopeful pop sensibilities. It is a very upbeat offering with a bright intro, delightfully upbeat guitars, and, of course, his stunning vocal tones paving the way. I really did like the crunching bass on this one, mixed with the sprightly guitar sounds and tight percussion. His vocals are stunning, and when it hits the chorus for the first time, it comes into this inspiring anthem. With a hint of 1990s alternative rock about it, mixed with more modern pop sensibilities, this song is the kind that can straddle a generation or two, with hopefully lots more fans discovering his music along the way. With the ...

Johnny Pears returns with his new song, "Pin Cushion"

The Boldon Colliery-based singer-songwriter, Johnny Pears, is back and he is back with a brand new tune called "Pin Cushion". ... a euphoric, festival-ready anthem blending scorched guitars, nostalgic new-wave energy, and scuzzy punk revival. Right from the get-go, the intro alone is going to be hitting you with a rush of scorched guitars. After that, when the track unravels in front of you, you have this absolutely epic track that sounds like it was destined for the big stages of Reading and Leeds Festival. It's got that new wave energy that reminds you of the likes of The Smiths in places, with a lot more newer and modern sounds that the likes of Blossoms are famous for, but with a pinch of scuzzy punk revival about it. It's an absolutely euphoric track with lots of nostalgic moments dotted left, right, and centre. The pacing is awesome, and even though the track is 3.5 minutes long, you'll feel very well acquainted with Johnny by the time it's finished. Con...

Sebastian Rydgren returns with the stunning single, "glitter in my eyes"

Former Swedish Idol semi-finalist Sebastian Rydgren returns with his stunning new single, "Glitter in My Eyes". It is once again a standout track that focuses a lot on his vocals, and for good reason too, as what you will be hearing is one of Sweden's most underrated singers. ... a genre-bending rollercoaster of a track that flips seamlessly from ethereal, melancholic pop into high-energy drum and bass. The intro is very melancholic, with dreamy echoing vocals, before the track kicks into a drum and bass rhythm around the 1:20 mark. As soon as that comes, it honestly feels like a different song. It goes from being ethereal and dreamy to high-energy workout music that will take you by surprise on the first listen. With tracks that have racked up over hundreds of thousands of plays, Sebastian is certainly an artist who is flying a little bit under the radar. But as far as I'm concerned, when this song lands in the inbox of his followers, I can see it taking off for him....

DJ Cards drops the electronic anthem, "Sideways"

Hailing from Philadelphia, producer DJ Cards delivers an electric anthem with his high-energy EDM track, "Sideways". The track is the sort of song that sounds like it deserves to fill the floors of every nightclub for miles around. ... an electric, high-energy EDM banger packed with euphoric 2010s dance-pop nostalgia, driving rhythms, and dynamic synth builds. There's a fantastic euphoric dance-pop core to the song, with a somewhat nostalgic tone that gave me flashbacks to the 2010s, when I'd find myself at venues until the early hours of Saturday morning. It's got such a driving rhythm, and the production on this is rather delightful. Even though it's less than 3 minutes long, it's got so much replayability. I came back to this track a few times after listening to it for the first go-around, and I just love how the swooshing synth sounds come in and out of the song—how it builds and builds and breaks. DJ Cards is certainly an artist I am going to be keepi...

Adam Wedd reveals his emotive new single, "Soar"

Coming out of the London scene is artist Adam Wedd, and the singer-songwriter is back with a new, heartfelt track, "Soar". Opening up with some glittering orchestral pop with piano keys shining high, it is quite the introduction to one of Adam's most heartfelt tracks to date. ... a deeply moving and cinematic orchestral-pop tribute, rich with soaring vocals, tender piano, and heartbreaking beauty. Written in memory of his late friend Peter Holmes, this cinematic track has some beautiful arrangements and plenty of emotion behind it. Interwoven into the lyrics is Adam showcasing his stunning vocal tones, and you can easily hear him capturing those moments about his long-lost friend. There's something so beautiful and equally heartbreaking about this song. As you move into the latter third of the song, you can really hear how cinematic it becomes, with a decent amount of strings laced on top of a simplistic piano sound and Adam's soaring, angelic vocals, almost cares...

Prem Byrne unveils his new acoustic track, "Here In America"

Based out of Forest Knolls is American singer-songwriter Prem Byrne, and his new single here in America has recently been released. ... a warm, soulful, and delightful slice of stripped-back acoustic rock laced with clean Americana charm. The song is his seventh of the year and is a very whimsical blend of acoustic rock mixed with some soulful moments that really bring an absolutely stunning warmth to your ears when you listen to it for the first time. The intro is absolutely delightful, and as soon as his vocals come in you will be melting within no time. It's a rather stripped-back track with finger-picking guitar moments, clean Americana tones, and some simplistic percussion, all balanced off with his aforementioned brilliant voice. Co-produced alongside Adam Rossi, the track is a perfect gateway song to his sound, and even though it's a 3-minute-long track, it's got plenty of replayability. Want us to hear your music?
