Cove unveils a nostalgic debut tune, "Rain"

Launching anything always tends to be difficult, and sometimes a band's first single may go unnoticed but not for us. Cove hails from the gorgeous Vicenza in Italy and has unveiled a nostalgic-tinted debut tune, "Rain". ... if they keep this up they could be a big name on the Italian rock scene. If you're a fan of your swaggering vocals then you'll love this, think of it as part Alex Turner in places with some Brit-pop undertones giving it that powerful effect. Musically speaking it's chock full of guitar hooks that if you're an alt-rock guitar fan you'll be falling head over heels for it. The tempo is perfectly sitting at a pace that'll have you tapping your foot to it with backing vocals that you'll also be humming back by the end of the first play. In short, it's a strong debut release, and I have to say if they keep this up they could be a big name on the Italian rock scene.

New Sunday reveals their stunning single, "The Empty Street"

Hafnarfjörður, Iceland, is home to New Sunday, a studio project that has got some incredible sounds to them. The single is "The Empty Street," the third since launching early this year, and is a whimsical blend of cinematic acoustic music and driving folk beats, with some contemporary pop vocals polishing it off. ... a stunning cinematic folk-pop journey filled with soothing strings and atmospheric beauty. Built around songwriter Einar Askelsson's carefully crafted compositions, the track showcases her vocals and her attention to detail with her music. It is simply stunning, with the atmospheric sounds and the soothing violin strings offering you plenty of opportunities to feel like you can end up disappearing into her back catalogue of music. Moose Wrench return with the big new tune, "Dead Stars"

Leeds, England trio Moose Wrench return with their new single, "Dead Stars". The single is a re-recording of their 2021 single and features very much the same vocal structure as its predecessor. However, this time around, the track sounds far more psychedelic and noisy. ... a mind-bending alt-rock explosion where psychedelic chaos, heavy riffs and indie energy collide. I personally loved those deep and brooding vocals on the track, but my real love came from the guitar riffs that are layered within the song. It's got this fusion of sounds that range from alt-rock to math-rock, prog, punk and, obviously, psychedelic, with them all coming together in one absolute eargasm of noise. The final minute of the song is an absolute flurry of one genre: indie rock. For me, this was almost the confirmation that I'm definitely going to be listening to this outfit plenty more times after this single. Lemon return with the solid new cut, "Let It Out! (Uncle Tim Remix)"

We have been a fan of Amsterdam-based Lemon for a while now, and recently they have revealed their shimmering new cut of "Let It Out! (Uncle Tim Remix)". The track is even more nostalgic than it was originally, with the opening sequence of the song having sexy saxophones, atmospheric vocals, and a cinematic synth beckoning you forward. ... a seductive remix that's soulful and groove-packed with shimmering synths and irresistible guitar. Once it gets going, there is a tremendous groove throughout, and it is seductive in terms of its beats. Also, the guitar line is an absolute whopper for me, making me nod my head in appreciation well before the first minute is even finished. The remix is incredibly infectious and has those soulful vocals that have got the band to where they are today. Melinda Joy & Son of Cormack reveal the dreamy new song, "Out of the Blue"

Austin, Texas-based Melinda Joy & Son of Cormack take listeners on a whimsical and romantic journey with "Out of the Blue." This is a collaborative single and is Melinda's first track to be released since her 2020 release "Beautiful Illusions." ... a whimsical blend of dreamy indie folk, Americana rock, and beautifully balanced vocals. The track is, quite simply put, four minutes of dreamy indie folk mixed with clean Americana rock. I personally loved the blend of vocals on this, with Melinda's sweet tones balanced off with George's deeper tones. It was a wonderful first listening experience, and I was very much getting excited to give this a second play even before the halfway point of my first spin. Piper Connolly reveals the charging new anthem, "body bag"

Phoenix-based Piper Connolly has recently delivered a fierce and emotionally charged alt-rock anthem with "body bag." ... a fierce alt-rock belter packed with commanding vocals, slick bass, and serious replay value. The intro is honestly an incredible offering for you, with some slick bass tones giving way to her commanding vocals and a drum beat that will have you stomping in no time. The song follows on from her single "Beautiful Life" and is the true statement of everything she's about. One of those out-and-out indie rock belters that has incredible replayability, and will have me delving into her back catalogue in no time. Wolves of Delphi drops their stunning debut single, "Stagger"

Bursting out from the incredible scene in Reading is Wolves of Delphi. The rip-roaring new track is a raw alternative rock cut that is incredibly unpolished and organic, with me feeling almost as if I've been transported back into the mid-90s grunge scene with how the intro made me feel. ... a huge first impression with a raw, urgent, and emotionally charged alternative rock debut. Vocally, I'm getting massive Chris Cornell vibes from this, with the deep vocals elongated on every word. It is such a powerful track, and even though they are just a duo, they have certainly made a song that sounds like they are a massive quartet or even quintet. What is even more staggering is that this is their debut single, and as far as debut singles go, this could be up there with the very best within the genre. Out of the music scene in Lincolnshire, England, is Riri Rose, and the singer-songwriter has recently released a personal new single, "Questions I'll Never Know." ... a sensational debut with a cinematic, nostalgic acoustic track that blends Britpop charm with stunning vocals. The new offering is the first track to be lifted from her new album, and it draws inspiration from her growing up in a small village in Lincolnshire. It's incredibly acoustic, and Riri's vocals are simply stunning throughout, with the clean acoustic guitar tones paving the way for you to get truly stuck into it. Coming out of New York is the brilliant and stunning SAMSARA., and the band have recently dropped their big new tune, "IN TOO DEEP". The quintet have a sound that can rival any of the big alt-rock bands that are currently dominating the worldwide music scene, and based off this track they're going to be the next big guitar band to emerge from NY since the likes of The Strokes and Interpol. ... based off this track they're going to be the next big guitar band to emerge from NY since the likes of The Strokes and Interpol The pacing of the track is great, and even from the get-go there is a somewhat danceable backline that'll no doubt have you tapping your feet. The guitar sounds on "IN TOO DEEP" are so infectious, a blend of post-punk and alt-rock with the perfect amount of fuzz to give it more depth. Vocally strong too, you have to admire this emerging band for the smooth vocal approach to the track and its clean melodies.
