Regal Cheer drop frantic new tune, "Castanets"

Regal Cheer are a duo punk act from Brighton in the South of the UK, and their latest single is the type of track that'll incite a circle pit, so tread carefully.

The release is comprised of the lead track "Castanets" which does not hang about as you're right into the nitty-gritty of the song with the dominant crunchy guitar tone leading the way with frantic drumming backing it up.

... their latest single is the type of track that'll incite a circle pit, so tread carefully as it's a frantic slice of punk-rock!

Vocally I'm reminded of peak punk-rock back in the mid 1980s but with a shimmer that fellow Brighton rock-duos Blood Red Shoes and Royal Blood have. The single is very short but it's got great protentional to be played on a loop over and over again!

The B-side to "Castanets" is "Ante" and is only fractionally slower in tempo but the vocals on this are more angsty and it has a fantastic chorus that you can imagine a captive audience will happily shout back at them.

"Castanets" is the second single taken from their upcoming debut album "Cans" which comes out February 3rd via Beth Shalom Records.
