Norfolk's Matt Hammond has recently released his new single "Casting Stones", which is the first single from the singer-songwriter since his 2021 effort "Conjure".
Warm and captivating with a dark undertone.
His song is short but ever so sweet, it opens up with warm acoustic guitar tones offering the listener a truly organic experience. His vocals are great and remind me a bit of Ben Howard's approach, and the comparisons don't stop there as the finger-picked guitar sounds remind me strongly of him too.
It's very folk-inspired with somewhat of a darker undertone behind it. With outlets such as BBC Introducing Cambridgeshire and multiple local radio stations picking up on his music he's going in the right direction for sure.
