Exeter-based Third Girl From The Left returns with their first track since 2021, the new offering "Silent Sea" is the type of track that'll charm within the first minute.
"Silent Sea" is similar to Bjork in places with subtle hints of Radiohead scattered in.
The dreamy single opens up with some strings that remind me a lot of the Final Fantasy 7 soundtrack - showing my age here - and when the vocals come rolling in like a winter fog you get chills down your back. The chimes and crashing symbols adds plenty of atmosphere to an already cinematic track and as the track progresses you find yourself being won over by the vocals alone.
The arty track is similar to Bjork in places with subtle hints of Radiohead scattered in to get those music 'hispters' on board too. I, being one of those hispters, loved the single on the first play, so why not give this expansive new offering a play before it gets picked up by lots of curators!
