Askies return with anthemic new offering, "Leaving"

Back with their first single since 2020 is Leeds-based quartet Askies and they come back with their bright new offering, "Leaving".

For those who are new to the foursome, they have been together releasing since 2019 with six singles released within just a two-year space. The hype was there, and I tell you what the hype is back as this returning song is one of their best cuts yet.

absolutely chock-rammed with soaring anthemic tones

"Leaving" has that Northern angst in the vocals mixed with some charming guitars that dance perfectly off the smooth bassline. It's absolutely chock-rammed with soaring anthemic tones that you can easily expect to see them performing to a packed out crowd at Live at Leeds or Leeds Festival. They feel like a band that is a staple for any decent music festival, and now they're back you need to keep a close eye on them!

The track also acts as the first track off their self-titled EP, which was produced by David Watts (The Fall, Kaiser Chiefs) just outside of Leeds in Castleford.
