Manchester-based The Rolling People a few days ago revealed their nostalgic new single, "Grateful For Nothing", and honestly when I first heard it I thought that this band was already playing in stadiums all over the world.
Huge guitars that are worthy of filling stadiums around the world.
Simply stunning from the word go, we have a big stinking guitar soaring above like an Oasis track has, clean acoustic moments too, and a drum-fill that can give any great drummer a run for their money.
As any band from Manchester knows, there is a huge scene there with artists ranging from the likes of Oasis to The Rolling Stones via The Smiths and Joy Division (heck, even Take That... apparently). There's always this stigma that they have to be just as big, but I have a secret for you all, The Rolling People could honestly be the next big guitar band to make it big!
"Grateful For Nothing" is a tune that gives you a thrill from the get-go, and throughout its run-time you'll be delving deeper into their sound. Ultimately I'd say this song could be the track that gets them noticed, it's not if it's when!
