Sheffield's Work In TV released their brand new single not too long ago, "The Good Life", and it's more of the same good-vibe tones that have got them to where they are today. Having released an EP already this year the track sounds like the perfect way to close out a solid year for the six-piece.
... overwhelmingly nostalgic.
The sounds of the vocals are something that we fell in love with right from the get-go, it's very early Julian Casablancas mixed with some of those sounds that David Bowie was known for. The backing vocals on the track are also one to behold, and in the chorus, it seemingly comes alive. I appreciate how the lead singer has two tones going on in this track, one for the verses and one for the choruses.
Instrumentally it's a blend of synthy sounds mixed with electronically-charged guitar sounds, a bit scuzzy and fuzzy but overwhelmingly nostalgic at the same time.
