London-based duo Return Of The Human have not too long ago shared their new single, "Ain't Sad About Losing You", and while talking about the track, they say - "[the track has] lyrics that tell the truth (not always what you expect to hear)."
... confessional lyrics with Americana-tinged acoustic warmth.
The single is just their third since they started releasing music together in 2024, and since then, they've even released one more (we can't keep up!).
"Ain't Sad About Losing You" reminds me a lot of those honest Manic Street Preachers songs that are open and raw but with a very acoustic and slightly Americana feel to the instrumentation. I'd say somewhat roots/bluegrass with the banjo in the background, but one thing remained with them throughout – it was the vocals that evoked pure emotion in your ears.
