Deaf Radio drops their bold new single, "Idling"

Deaf Radio’s "Idling" sees the Athens, Greece outfit refine their sound into something darker and bolder. The trio are known for their expansive, hard-hitting sound, and this latest offering easily rivals anything they’ve released so far.

... a dark, polished post-punk cut that signals Deaf Radio’s readiness for the global stage.

With much of their fanbase rooted in their hometown of Athens, they now seem to have settled into a style that leans heavily into post-punk revival at its core. There are clear hints of Interpol here, blended with the heavier indie rock sounds of the mid-2000s. For me, this was an instant love – and it’s easy to see why they’ve built up over 25,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.

How they’ve flown under the radar until now is genuinely surprising, because their music is so cohesive and exceptionally well produced. "Idling" sounds like a band ready to push beyond their current scene and break onto the wider international rock stage.
