It’s very groovy and very laid-back in its R&B style – perhaps reminiscent of Glass Animals and even Justin Timberlake in some respects. It’s undeniably emotional, and with those aforementioned soulful vocals leading the way, this feels like one of those tracks you arrive at with no expectations and leave as a fan.
I also really liked the additional elements of Asian instrumentation layered throughout, almost acting as a kind of chorus in places. It’s warm, atmospheric in many moments, and filled with dreamy textures that help ease you into his sound. If this is your first time hearing him, it makes for a perfect gateway track.
