Coming out of the scene up in Edinburgh, Scotland is Pray Silence, and the band are continuing to build serious momentum with "Kill Room". The new effort from the outfit has a thunderous entrance, with the first 30 seconds offering you an insight into everything they're all about.
... a thunderous alternative rock anthem packed with infectious hooks and classic mid-2000s energy.
This song is very much one of those calm, post-'90s alternative rock sounds with some angular guitars that will get anybody who was listening to British music in the mid-2000s on board from the very first play. It's a very bouncy and vibrant track with vocal hooks that lean all the way from the likes of Bloc Party to more punky bands like Blink-182.
It is an out-and-out rock-fuelled anthem that sounds like it belongs on one of those classic FIFA soundtracks that everybody I know loves. With this being just their second ever single after releasing their debut track, "Dragon of Chaos", back in May, it sounds like the duo are certainly making the right amount of noise. Be sure to give them a listen before they explode out of Edinburgh onto the wider UK scene.
