Danny Suede shares the sun-kissed new tune, "shadows on the pavement"

Bursting out from Spokane, United States, is Danny Suede, who has recently released his new track titled "shadows on the pavement". The new offering from the American singer-songwriter has already shot to the top of his most popular songs on Spotify, and I can easily tell why from the very first minute. ... a shimmering, uplifting slice of bedroom pop that feels made for sunny days. The opening sequence of the song is a delicate balance of acoustic guitar mixed with his serene vocals and a dash of electronic pulses just to get you all warmed up. For me, the fusion of bedroom pop and alternative pop sounds reminded me of an early Ed Sheeran as he was about to take over the British music scene. With that in mind, it sounds like Danny is also going in that direction. It is such an uplifting track and has brilliant shimmering moments that make this an unmistakably top pick for your Sunkissed playlists. He is an artist who is on the rise, so be sure to listen to him as soon as you...

Richard Tyler Epperson returns with the new track, "One Thought Away"

Salt Lake City-based singer-songwriter and producer Richard Tyler Epperson has sensationally returned with his bold new single, "One Thought Away." Within the opening sequence, you could easily hear how emotional the song is. With twinkling piano tones and spoken word, it sounds like the sort of track that Coldplay would write back in the day. ... an emotionally charged, boundary-pushing blend of genres wrapped in stunning self-produced indie flair. It seamlessly blends rap, rock, alt-pop, and indie-rock moments together, with the intimate vocals helping you lean into the song with ease. There are punching drums, a slick amount of synths, and bold guitar lines that will have anybody who chooses to listen heading into his back catalogue once the song is finished. I can't get over how well-produced the song is, and considering he did this himself, this is nothing short of astonishing. He is very much an artist who is always pushing the boundaries, and with every release tha...

RISE returns with the moving new track, "Talking To Your Ghost Again"

Liverpool-based rock band RISE is back, and they have delivered a deeply moving and personal statement with "Talking To Your Ghost Again". ... a deeply moving, prog-tinged rock tribute packed with soaring vocal harmonies and heartfelt emotion. The new song is a tribute to the late singer Steve Kinley, and right from the outset, you can hear that the song is very emotional. The harmonies on this are incredibly strong, and you can easily hear the guest vocalist stayMellow shining high here, with the tones weaving perfectly amongst the prog rock sounds. It's quite nostalgic in places and has incredibly soaring moments that will elevate you out of your chair and deep within the track's belly. The song is a mark of remembrance that honours a loss like no other. If you like the emotive sound of this offering, then be sure to check out their previous releases; my personal favourite was the retro-sounding "Here I Am". Want us to hear your music? Queen Anne unveils their upbeat anthem, "Greyhound."

Los Angeles indie-pop duo Queen Anne have recently dropped their fantastic and upbeat new single, "Greyhound". Composed of singer-songwriter Katie Silverman and writer-producer Sandy Chila, the new single is incredibly upbeat from the get-go, with a fun acoustic guitar introducing you to the song, and Katie's vocal tones almost beckoning you forwards. ... it's a brilliantly polished indie-pop sensation packed with radio-ready energy and irresistible acoustic hooks. When the chorus comes in, it is one of those insanely well-produced indie pop songs that will be getting you out of your seat and dancing along. It's incredibly radio-friendly, and I can see this easily being their best track to date, easily surpassing their previous track, "BabyGirl", and its 130,000+ plays on Spotify. If there ever was a track to get into Queen Anne with, it would be this. It is a real thrill, and on the first listen alone, I was almost hypnotised by how upbeat, pop-driven,...

Interview with...Nothing But Thieves

Alternative rock five-piece Nothing But Thieves have been conquering the music scene this year. With an incredible debut album released last month and numerous epic singles, there is no stopping this band. We caught up with guitarist Joe and bassist Phil before their headline show at a sold-out Thekla in Bristol. The show itself was outstanding, the live-set itself was flawless and the boat literally rocked. Check out our interview below: First question, so how did the name Nothing But Thieves come about? Joe: There’s a quote and it said, ‘Don’t be impressionable, your religious leaders are nothing but mega thieves.’ I don’t think mega thieves is a very good band name, but thought Nothing But Thieves is a good band name so there you go. Phil: What would a mega-thief be like? Joe: Steals everything like it’s not bolted down, it’s gone! When did you all decide to form a band? Were you always a five-piece? Joe: It kind of morphed. It was probably myself, Conor and Dom. We ...

Curtis Millen shares the vibrant new song, "Small Stuff"

Belfast-born and Rotterdam-based artist Curtis Millen has today released his incredibly vibrant new single titled "Small Stuff". ... an irresistible blast of soulful, 60s-infused indie energy that demands your immediate attention. One thing that is clear to see from the get-go is how addictive and upbeat it is, with the first 30 seconds being filled with non-stop brass tones, fast-paced guitars, and sexy guitar licks. His vocals are incredibly soulful, with spontaneous vocal moments that reminded me especially of James Brown and all of those acts around that era. It's got a delightful 60s feel to it, but with that modern production helping it shine amongst the rest within the genre. It is such a dynamic single, and way before the halfway point I was finding myself heading into his previous tracks. It is no wonder that his last two singles have accumulated over 150,000 plays between them. He is really starting to hit the nail on the head, and it's just a matter of time...

Siri Neel reveals her new tune, "West Street"

Copenhagen's Siri Neel has recently delivered her second single of the year, following on from the January release titled "I Think I Said Something". ... an infectious, art-pop gem bursting with vibrant Scandinavian flair! "West Street" is the new track, and right from the get-go, you're greeted with a bouncy guitar line and a tight drumbeat, mixed with thick basslines. Her vocals are very pop-infused, and the whole track has this underlying art pop quirkiness about it, giving it somewhat of a British feel despite her being based in Copenhagen. The track is only her second since her debut album came out back in 2024, but the way that this landed on my ears from the first play was tremendous. It's very pop-driven and has a fantastic beat to it, giving it plenty of opportunities for you to be tapping along to it. Its glorious pop sheen really comes to life in the final third, and as the track heads into its last minute, you're greeted with shimmering t...

Wendy Bruner reveals the cinematic, "Toward Shalom"

Saint Louis-based singer-songwriter Wendy Bruner has recently revealed her cinematic new single, titled "Toward Shalom". It opens with a dramatic violin, shortly followed by her strong vocal tones. The song also features a captivating duet with Christopher Grundy, and is the kind of track that will have you checking out the rest of her songs. ... an immersive, folk-pop duet that serves as the perfect cinematic gateway to Wendy Bruner's music. It had me leaning in a lot within the first minute alone, and when the chorus comes, both of their vocals are intertwined with a dramatic soundscape for your ears to truly immerse yourself in. It's very folk-pop-driven in terms of the instrumentation on offer. Even though it is just a little bit over three minutes long, you'll feel like you've been well acquainted with her sound by the end of it. As mentioned previously, this is on her album, titled "Living the Dream", and if you like what you heard, then there ...

RHIC drops the seasonal cut, "The Demon Queens of Halloween"

Hailing from Tetbury, England is RHIC, and his latest single is a dark new track ready for the Halloween season. ... a haunting, cinematic dark-pop masterpiece tailored for the Halloween season! The cinematic single has come out at the perfect time of year, when the nights are drawing in early and the Halloween season is in full swing. Vocally, it's dark and has plenty of dream pop and dark pop textures interweaving amongst one another. Drawing upon his classical background from the Royal Academy of Music, RHIC has manipulated his vocals through a filter to turn them into a female voice to give the track extra depth and emotion. The single certainly shows how versatile he is, and with every release coming out from him, it sounds like he is really starting to get a reputation for being an artist who is not afraid to push the boundaries.
