Danny Suede shares the sun-kissed new tune, "shadows on the pavement"

Bursting out from Spokane, United States, is Danny Suede, who has recently released his new track titled "shadows on the pavement". The new offering from the American singer-songwriter has already shot to the top of his most popular songs on Spotify, and I can easily tell why from the very first minute. ... a shimmering, uplifting slice of bedroom pop that feels made for sunny days. The opening sequence of the song is a delicate balance of acoustic guitar mixed with his serene vocals and a dash of electronic pulses just to get you all warmed up. For me, the fusion of bedroom pop and alternative pop sounds reminded me of an early Ed Sheeran as he was about to take over the British music scene. With that in mind, it sounds like Danny is also going in that direction. It is such an uplifting track and has brilliant shimmering moments that make this an unmistakably top pick for your Sunkissed playlists. He is an artist who is on the rise, so be sure to listen to him as soon as you...

Martin Kuiper drops his strong new album, "Prison Of Modesty"

Hailing from Ruurlo, Netherlands, singer-songwriter Martin Kuiper delivers a captivating blend of '90s alt-rock and grunge on his album "Prison Of Modesty".We previously had Martin on our website before, but today is an exciting day as this sees his new album finally land. The album is comprised of 10 tracks, of which seven were previously released. We are going to focus on some of the tracks that are new here—or at least new to us. I can't help but praise the opening track, "Still I Promise", as this is a fantastic gateway song to his sound, with plenty of Beach Boys-styled backing vocals laced upon a rather indie-rock-driven track, almost beckoning you into the 10-track album. One of the new tracks is called "In Security", and it's quite the charming cut with some moody guitar tones that reminisce of those 1980s bands, such as Dire Straits. With that, his vocals really do come to light here as the song is rather stripped back in terms of its ...

JF Roy reveals the inspiring new single, "The Morning Light"

Coming out of Fort McMurray in Canada is the Christian rock artist JF Roy. The new single is his third of the year, and this singer-songwriter is the kind of artist that gets tens of thousands of plays on his music. It sounds like this track could be his biggest hit to date. ... an inspiring and uplifting alt-rock anthem blending 90s-tinged guitars, crunching basslines, and bright, hopeful pop sensibilities. It is a very upbeat offering with a bright intro, delightfully upbeat guitars, and, of course, his stunning vocal tones paving the way. I really did like the crunching bass on this one, mixed with the sprightly guitar sounds and tight percussion. His vocals are stunning, and when it hits the chorus for the first time, it comes into this inspiring anthem. With a hint of 1990s alternative rock about it, mixed with more modern pop sensibilities, this song is the kind that can straddle a generation or two, with hopefully lots more fans discovering his music along the way. With the ...

Tony Sieber drops the stunning new single, "Dreaming in Soft Light,"

Swiss musician and producer Tony Sieber delivers an atmospheric gem with "Dreaming in Soft Light".It is a warm and lo-fi track with plenty of atmosphere. Think Dire Straits if there were no lyrics and with the production values of James Blake. ... a warm, lo-fi instrumental blending Dire Straits-esque guitar work with James Blake production for a truly borderless, atmospheric dreamscape. It's simplistic, expressive guitar work, but it has that hazy sheen to it that entices you into the track with ease. With over 4 million plays of his music on Spotify alone, it's clear Tony is an artist who knows exactly what he's doing, with music stretching as far back as his debut album from 1999. He's been refining his sound for years, and this new offering, titled "Dreaming in Soft Light", could quite easily be his most expansive to date, inviting in new fans and old fans alike. Having won awards for his 2026 album "Tides of Stillness", this track is c...

Pisgah returns with her new single , "Delphinus and Dippers"

Singer-songwriter Brittney Jenkins - aka Pisgah - with the bold new single, "Delphinus and Dippers". We have previously had her on our website before, and for good reason too. Her music is incredible and cinematic and can easily grip me with every second that goes by. ... a sizzling, cinematic alt-rock gem weaving Cigarettes After Sex-style moodiness with sweet vocals, shimmering guitars, and a breathtaking outro. The new track has a delightful intro that lasts for 40 seconds before her wonderful vocals come rolling in, almost like Cigarettes After Sex and Beach House, but with even sweeter vocals behind it. This is a sizzling, emotive alternative rock gem, and the London-based artist honestly knows no bounds. This sounds like it has been written to close music festivals on a Sunday, with the rain coming down and the mood high, with plenty of people admiring her on stage. One thing I personally loved was the delicate balance of the moody vocal tones and the shimmering guitars...

2nd Magpie Project reveals the dreamy new cut, "Divine Intervention"

Hailing from Lewisham in South London, England, 2nd Magpie Project has today delivered an expansive and dreamy new single titled "Divine Intervention." If you like your shoegazy sounds mixed with strong and powerful vocals, then this is something that you'll love from the first play. ... a cinematic and atmospheric shoegaze gem blending moody Nick Cave-esque guitars with expressive, haze-filled vocals. I personally loved the strong Nick Cave-esque guitars in the background, almost filling the track with haze and character. It's an incredibly moody offering, with the chorus almost cementing their place in your darker, moodier playlists. To me, it sounds like the perfect kind of song to listen to when you're stuck at home on a dreary rainy day in November, but with expressive lyrics that can help you paint a picture in your head to take your mind away from things. Overall, I'd say this is cinematic and atmospheric, with plenty of shoegazing alt-rock moments ...

LJ and the Ray Band shares their debut offering, "Heels"

LJ and the Ray Band drop pure dancefloor joy with "Heels". The new offering is their debut release, and from the get-go you can easily hear how funky, seductive, and infectious it is. ... a pure feel-good dancefloor anthem fusing Jamiroquai-esque funk, 80s disco vibes, slick guitars, and seductive basslines. Vocally, this is an incredibly strong track, and even within the first 20 seconds, you can hear that the song is going to be an absolute winner. With a delightful smattering of soulful vocals, horns, slick guitars, and seductive basslines, this new act is certainly something that you'll need to be keeping an eye on. Coming out of my hometown of Saffron Walden in Essex, this collective have certainly landed on a sound which can go way beyond genres. It's pure feel-good and is perfect for the radio, with it coming in at just over 3 minutes long. I can see this being one of the tracks that they will be playing for years to come. Part Jamiroquai and part 1980s disco, ...

Bam Rigby releases the delightful cut, "Complicated"

NYC-based indie-rock artist Bam Rigby has recently dropped his delightful new track, "Complicated". It is his fourth track since going solo in 2022 and is his second of the year. Continuing on from his single "Silhouette", this new offering has certainly given him plenty more traction to give his music lots of legs on his music scene. ... a cinematic, '70s-infused folk-pop anthem weaving lush vocal tones, sweeping guitars, and a film-worthy horn section. "Complicated" is a raw and honest look at modern relationship struggles, with a decent smattering of '70s-infused folk tones and indie pop. The track is very cinematic, with sweeping guitars hidden within his lush vocal tones, showcasing his talent for everyone to hear. I really loved the horn section within the final third of the track, as this felt to me like it was destined to be in a montage of a blockbuster film. The track is also the second single off his upcoming debut album titled Sometimes...

Johnny Pears returns with his new song, "Pin Cushion"

The Boldon Colliery-based singer-songwriter, Johnny Pears, is back and he is back with a brand new tune called "Pin Cushion". ... a euphoric, festival-ready anthem blending scorched guitars, nostalgic new-wave energy, and scuzzy punk revival. Right from the get-go, the intro alone is going to be hitting you with a rush of scorched guitars. After that, when the track unravels in front of you, you have this absolutely epic track that sounds like it was destined for the big stages of Reading and Leeds Festival. It's got that new wave energy that reminds you of the likes of The Smiths in places, with a lot more newer and modern sounds that the likes of Blossoms are famous for, but with a pinch of scuzzy punk revival about it. It's an absolutely euphoric track with lots of nostalgic moments dotted left, right, and centre. The pacing is awesome, and even though the track is 3.5 minutes long, you'll feel very well acquainted with Johnny by the time it's finished. Con...

EP Review... Kilto Take - Kilto Take EP

Another special EP review and this time it is from a band who are from Bedfordshire. They are a Indie Rock band who love to play music that gets the rhythm inside of you and blasts it with lashings of rock! I do hope they get noticed because the world deserves bands like these guys. Hanging around and lurking in the deep belly of Bedfordshire they deserve to be noticed and would do them a whole load of good, you will soon realise in this review why they are a brilliant band! Retrogress: The opening track and it entices you into their sound straight away with a brilliant riff, a tight bass and superb drumming. The vocals kick in and it only just gets better! A slow start perhaps but the momentum builds and when the chorus comes you know it is going to be a cracking one. It hits, yup, I was right, the singer cries out "Hold me, you can't deny this stuff is real", but oh it is. It's real for sure, honestly this song is just *AWESOME* Out of 10: 10/10 Ava: Along the same ...
