The music scene in Poland seems to be on the up as of late, with artists featured in The New York Times (Mata) and getting radio plays from the BBC (Daria) it's an untapped land for your ears to discover.
One of the newer bands started releasing music back in 2020, and has since released three albums and 16 singles - what a way to catch up with the rest of them! Their name is Snakedoctors and their music can be described as Dark-Wave blended with Post-Punk and Grunge.
The vocals on their latest cut - "Crime Story" - remind me of Robert Smith from The Cure and the deep guitar tones sound like they've been cherry-picked from a Nirvana b-side as they're so deep and mellow. If you love your dark and atmospheric alt-rock then this band from Gdansk in the north of Poland is for you!
The band have a double album planned already for this year - expect to see it drop sometime in the Spring - so be sure to give them a follow!
