London band The Fades today have shared their charming new tune, "Looking for Keanu". The new cut is their first of the year and is a whimsical rock tune about looking for Keanu Reeves, with the story behind the song saying 'Rumour has it that Keanu was filming locally to the Fades rehearsal studio, so lead singer Dave started daydreaming about bumping into him and becoming friends.'
... it's got such a nostalgic vibe surrounding it.
The track itself is a very skater-rock-type song that you'd half expect to hear on college radio in the USA back in the early 2000s, roughly around the time that the likes of Sum 41, Pavement and Weezer tones flowing through it too.
It'll no doubt go into their discography and be one of the best songs they've released to date (in my opinion) as it's got such a nostalgic vibe surrounding it.
