Jacob Ifans releases his debut single, "Sun Don't Shine"

Jacob Ifans has just today released his debut single, "Sun Don't Shine", and when I had a preview of the song, I honestly didn't even know that it was his first ever, as it sounded that good.

Speaking of the song, the Falmouth singer-songwriter mentions - "I wrote ‘Sun Don’t Shine’ in the middle of winter while I was living in a caravan; each season was particularly felt, each storm and cold spell were ingrained in my day to day."

... a rich, Americana-tinged folk track with timeless vocals and a depth that sets the bar high

It seems to be the case that if you're from Cornwall, then you're destined to be a musician who's acoustically inclined. His vocal tones sound like something from the 1950s Americana scene, so deep and yet charming at the same time, with glorious amounts of backing vocals to give it that shine. Musically, it's leaning towards the folk side of things with delicate guitar tones that latch you in as a fan within an instant.

As mentioned earlier, this is his debut, and as far as we're concerned, the bar is now very high for future releases. So be sure to give Jacob a follow; he has the potential!
