The Meir, a rising Dutch alternative band out of Breda, makes an unforgettable entrance with their debut single, "Free". The initial track from this outfit is an absolutely sensational one, with the initial play reminding me a lot of Keane and also Elbow.
... an emotionally charged debut anthem bursting with atmospheric guitar hooks, soaring Keane-inspired vocals, and a massive chorus.
Vocally, this is incredibly emotive, with plenty of atmosphere and textures flowing throughout, with solid guitar hooks that will certainly lure you into the song with every second that goes by.
I honestly adored the chorus. It was fantastic, with some charging vocals that will have you singing along in no time.
Considering this is their debut single, at least according to Spotify, I can see this band doing rather well in their local scene. Also, the track is the first release from the upcoming album titled "Infinite".
