Danny Suede shares the sun-kissed new tune, "shadows on the pavement"

Bursting out from Spokane, United States, is Danny Suede, who has recently released his new track titled "shadows on the pavement". The new offering from the American singer-songwriter has already shot to the top of his most popular songs on Spotify, and I can easily tell why from the very first minute. ... a shimmering, uplifting slice of bedroom pop that feels made for sunny days. The opening sequence of the song is a delicate balance of acoustic guitar mixed with his serene vocals and a dash of electronic pulses just to get you all warmed up. For me, the fusion of bedroom pop and alternative pop sounds reminded me of an early Ed Sheeran as he was about to take over the British music scene. With that in mind, it sounds like Danny is also going in that direction. The new single from Joe is his fifth of the year, and it starts off with a charming guitar sound before some organic percussion comes in to warm things up. ... Joe Caruso blends warm acoustic rock with Americana, Country and Latino touches for a beautifully laid-back listen. As soon as his vocals hit your ears, you know that you'll be sticking around for the long haul on this one, with the song seemingly getting better as every second goes by. There are some tremendous moments within the song, with some sliding guitars in the background later on giving you this subtle Americana vibe hidden amongst the acoustic rock-pop tones. Dublin-based project Gravité Fresq is back with their new dark pop single, "Hypocrisy Loop". It is absolutely stunning, with nostalgic synthwave moments that remind me of the 1980s scene, and even the production values on this sound rather analogue in places, giving it that extra nostalgic bite. ... Gravité Fresq channel the analogue glow of the 1980s into an addictive slice of dark pop. I also loved the vocals on this, reminding me a lot of Pet Shop Boys in places, but with even more direct tones. January may be the bleakest part of the year: full of post-Christmas dejection, wet and windy weather, sometimes snow and ice, and in 2016, the devastating loss of some of the world’s most innovative geniuses. With the bleak days of winter in mind, many would argue that it is the perfect month for a Daughter resurgence. Debut If You Leave went hand-in-hand with a permeating dark, fragile, and ghostly nature about the arrangements. However, despite the obvious continuation of the underlying sense of sadness, the subtlety and serenity of the first album is not brought through to 2016. Rather, new album Not To Disappear is much bigger; bringing with it extra dynamism and ambition.
